The Global Youth Network project itself has come to an end, but the Network we created lives on, especially through its regional branches! Groups of NGOs have come together to form networks in Latin America, Central America, East Africa, South Asia, Southeast Asia and shortly in some of the CIS countries. The UNODC has given a certain amount of seed money to these groups but the basic idea is that these networks will work closely with UNODC field offices to try and raise funds for regional activities including community based drug abuse and crime prevention, capacity building and documentation of effective approaches to drug abuse prevention. If you apply to become a member of the Global Youth Network, your details will be forwarded to the regional network should there be any in your region. However, you are encouraged to visit the available regional networks websites and to contact them directly.
