June, 2021 – UNODC EWA: Launch of the New Psychoactive Substance data website of the UNODC Early Warning Advisory

VIENNA, Austria – June 2021: The UNODC Global Synthetics Monitoring: Analyses, Reporting and Trends (SMART) Programme launches the public data website of the UNODC Early Warning Advisory on new psychoactive substances (NPS) on 24 June 2021. The website enables users to query and visualize data on the global emergence, geographic spread as well as health implications of NPS by region and year.


The new data website is meant to contribute to a better understanding of the emergence and potential health consequences of NPS and support researchers, scientists, decision-makers and member states in general in their work related to NPS. It can be accessed here.
