November 2020 – UNODC: Global Synthetic Drugs Assessment 2020 is launched

VIENNA, Austria – November 2020: The Global Synthetic Drugs Assessment 2020 provides a global thematic analysis of the key trends and emerging developments of the synthetic drugs market as well as the recent trends in the manufacture of synthetic drugs. The report includes a featured section on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the sale of synthetic drugs and provides options for responses to counter the synthetic drug problem. It also provides key findings of the synthetic drug situation in the different regions of the world.



The regional overviews, to be published on 1 December 2020, will highlight the context-specific dynamics of demand and supply of synthetic drugs in Africa, the Americas (Central America, South America and the Caribbean, and North America), Asia (Central Asia and Transcaucasia, East and South-East Asia and Oceania, the Near and Middle East, South Asia and South-West Asia) and Europe.
