The two-day training brought together 31 participants, namely the members of the Territorial Commission on Countering Trafficking in Persons and Forced Labour and regional practitioners including judges, prosecutors, internal affairs officers, specialists of other various governmental agencies and NGO representatives.

The training convened the key actors involved in countering trafficking in persons and provided them an opportunity to level their knowledge of, inter alia, identification, detection and referral of trafficking victims, evidence collection in domestic and international cases, and development of national and international partnerships. The participants of the training were capacitated and empowered to cascade acquired knowledge and expertise to their associates and colleagues at work.

The ToT seminars are aimed at developing the same level of knowledge of responsible practitioners in all regions of Uzbekistan and are implemented under the financial support of the U.S. State Department’s Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL).
