E4J Webinar Series: Counter-Terrorism and Firearms in the Context of the Education for Justice Initiative

 

The Education for Justice (E4J) Initiative, in coordination with the Law School of the University of Ghana, organized an online lecture on 22 May 2020. The lecture supported the online component of the Law School's programme. The Terrorism Prevention Branch and the Global Firearms Programme of UNODC addressed current issues related to counter-terrorism and trafficking in firearms, followed by a very active Q&A session moderated by Professor Kwadwo Appiagyei-Atua, Course Coordinator. Around 40 students from the University of Ghana joined the online lecture, which aimed at enhancing the knowledge of the E4J Initiative to implement the Doha Declaration and of the counter-terrorism and trafficking in firearms University Module Series. The online lecture was designed to achieve its objectives in an interactive manner, with discussions that enabled a substantive dialogue. Through webinars and other online events, the E4J Initiative will coninue to support the teaching of academics in varied disciplines, as well as the work of universities in support of the Sustainable Development Goals.
