Expert Group Meeting for Countries in Europe and Africa to peer-review the E4J Teaching Guide and University Modules on Firearms

On 26-28 June 2018, UNODC organized an expert group meeting in the context of the Education for Justice (E4J) initiative, a component of the Global Programme for the Implementation of the Doha Declaration, to review and validate draft modules to support teaching on firearms in tertiary level institutions. The modules are drafted with the view to be used as a standalone course or to allow educators to educators to integrate them into existing courses. To ensure global relevance of the modules, this meeting sought the feedback of academics from the Europe and Africa, who reviewed the modules and provided recommendations for adopting a multidisciplinary approach to firearms.
