UNODC Executive Director to visit Kenya
24 August 2016 - From the 27 th to the 28 th of August 2016, Mr. Yury Fedotov, Executive Director of the UNODC will be traveling to Nairobi, Kenya to attend and address the 6 th Tokyo International Conference on Africa's Development (TICAD) and meet government officials.
The Executive Director is scheduled to hold a bilateral meeting with Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta. He will also meet Amina Mohamed, Cabinet Secretary from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Trade, and UN officials.
The Executive Director will launch the new UNODC Regional Programme for Eastern Africa 2016-2021 at the Tribe Hotel on 29 August. The Attorney General of Kenya, Nairobi-based ambassadors, Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Ministers of Justice, officials from the African Union Peace and Security Department, senior officials from the Eastern Africa region, representatives from civil society organizations and the UNODC Regional Office in Eastern Africa will be taking part in the launch.
