Paraguay starts the development of a National Policy on Drugs

 

Celebrating the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) in Asunción participated in an event held at the Palacio de López (President's Office), in the presence of the President of the Republic, Horacio Cartes, ministers and members of the diplomacy in Paraguay. Besides the commemoration of June 26  th, the event served as a kick-off for the development of a National Policy on Drugs for Paraguay. This activity is led by the National Anti-Drug Secretariat (SENAD) and with the technical support of UNODC, spreading the messages of the Secretary-General and Executive Director alluding to this date and announcing the launch of  World Drug Report 2015.
