Short description:
Theatre for Drug Prevention and other Social Change, Establishment of Public Defender, Domestic Violence and Crisis Intervention.

Established 1981 to help prevent and/or diminish damage done by substance misuse, including alcohol, through public education, school programs, referral services, and advocacy/support for recovery services, legal reform and drug curricula.

Operate 24-hour phone line for help and referral since 1981
Designed/implemented internationally recognized school program
Partnered with UNDCP for inclusions in Barbados Plan of Action
Successfully advocated for Alternative Sentencing Law for young drug offenders
Advocating change of minimum drinking age from 16
Advocating re-establishment of Work Release program in Prison
