||ADIC is a Scientific Resource Centre For Drug Demand Reduction and Heath Promotion. ADIC involves in Policy Advocacy for both subjects, addresses domestic violence as an issue related to alcohol and works towards more child friendly media by actively advocating the reduction of tobacco and alcohol promotions, and endorsing positive contributions.
-Assessing the positive and negative contributions and using this information to educate the Media
-Educating and supporting media pressure groups
-Immunizing youth and children against negative influences that promote substance use
Policies on a National level as well as local can be of immense value when creating a positive environment for effective prevention strategies. Such policies exercise control over big multinationals that manufacture, promote, and sell, their products in a way that negates all efforts taken to reduce demand in the communities; specially among children.
The policy division continuously lobbies for effective policy changes in Sri Lanka.
The Human Resources Program builds the capacity of people within the organization as well as those who are not with ADIC.
