Short description:
Missing Persons' Families Support Centre (MPFSC) is a non-governmental association, established in 1996 by relatives and parents of missing people. The main reason to unite was dissatisfaction with tardy search for missing people in Lithuania and strong will to change this situation.
During the first years of work it appeared that many girls missing from Lithuania suffered from Trafficking in Human Beings (THB). Thus the NGO began to provide assistance to the victims in 1997, and established the first THB shelter in Lithuania in 2001.

-Lobbying state authorities with regards to the search of missing people
-Represent families of missing people
-Shelter for victims
-Establishing a database of missing people in all police commissariats of the country.
-Integration of Trafficking Victims.
-Explaining to the public that victims should be sympathised with and traffickers should be treated as criminals.
-Improvement of the legislation aiming at prevention of trafficking in people and speeding up the reintegration of victimns.
