|| Our mission: to function as a resource for member organizations located in Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States for the purpose of preventing sexual trafficking through education and training in the public and private sectors and engaging in rescue, return, and rehabilitation of victims of trafficking.
Achievements: since 2002 when the NGO was formally registered we have rehabilitated more than 1,000 trafficking victims through a network of regional shelters and crisis centers; about 900 victims have been directly assisted by the Moscow headquarters staff (Trafficking Victim Assistance Center), and about 600 have been referred to relevant organizations (like IOM, etc.). About 2,500 people have received exhaustive information about trafficking and potential threats in employment abroad via our international toll-free hotline. The Angel Coalition has become a member of a Working group within the Russian Parliament working on counter-trafficking legislation. Full-fledged training activity for Moscow juvenile police and police detectives has been endorsed by the city authorities.
