Short description:
Public Movement "Faith, Hope, Love" was organised by a group of health care specialists, lawyers, militia officials, scientists and volunteers with the mission to provide aid and support to maladjusted groups of the population, to encourage a tolerant attitude towards society’s castaways, to popularise a healthy lifestyle, and to implement new methods of negative social phenomena prevention. The Movement began work in June 1996 implementing a harm reduction strategy to prevent HIV/AIDS among intravenous drug users in Odessa. The Movement was registered in March 1997 with the Odessa Regional Justice Administration and was accredited to participate in UN General Assembly, Special Session on HIV/AIDS, 25-27 June 2001.

The main objectives of the Movement are to
I.Prevent HIV/AIDS among vulnerable groups in society (women in the sex business, intravenous drug users, youths and adolescents, street children, refugees, gay population) using a harm reduction methodology, and assist those with HIV/AIDS to receive proper care and develop socially
II.Facilitate vulnerable groups in society to live a healthy lifestyle free from STIs, unwanted pregnancies, drug abuse, alcohol addiction, and smoking
III.Prevent trafficking in persons and assist victims returned to Ukraine
IV.Prevent violence against women and assist victims
V.Provide training to specialists and volunteers in psychological methodology and in project implementation
