||Blue Cross Namibia is an NGO, registered with the Ministry of Trade as a Section 21 company as non-profit organization that organizes prevention and awareness programs at schools and in the community large to encourage young people and the general public to live their lives free from drugs and alcohol. Currently, we are active in 12 schools in Windhoek. Furthermore, we also have after school alternative activity clubs, where learners from different high schools come together to take part in different activities such as; chess, soccer, dance and drama.
Blue Cross reaches over 6100 youth in high schools and offer counselling mentorship to this youth. We initiates afterschool clubs activities that engages the youth, over 200 schools are involved. This initiative seeks to provide an alternative to drugs and alcohol abuse.
It is the mission of Blue cross Namibia to reduce the consumption of alcohol, drugs and other related addictions by active involvement of communities through programmes on prevention, treatment, care and support.
