||Chand Welfare Foundation is providing health services to the impoverish communities. Under this sector it trains community health workers (CHWs) to deliver health messages to the community and refer patients to the health care center for treatment.
Chand foundation developed a medical center in outer edge of district Peshawar, for the rural, poor women and children, which are providing free health services for the families of poor backgrounds. They aim to target TB, Malaria, measles, malnutrition and diarrhea in the region by raising awareness, counseling and distributing free medicines to women and children. Also free eye camps, medicines and eye glasses for near vision patients.
Its project in the health sector is developing works on HIV & AIDS. They are currently running awareness programs in its schools and women's vocational centers and health centers. They also provide counseling for those in need. Their mission for the future is to set up treatment centers primarily for HIV/AIDS, TB, & Diarrhea.
Chand Foundation gives special importance to successfully implement its family planning projects in areas of significant need in rural as well as urban including afghan refugees and tribal areas, where a general perception is prevalent on child birth considered as sources of earning money and more earning hands.
