Short description:
The Drug Salvation Foundation established in August 2010 in order to combat the increasing problem that Nigeria is facing regarding drug use, trading, trafficking and other related problems. TDSF provides a comprehensive range of drug demand and drug harm reduction services for drug users in the society settings. We also use mass media advocacy, and rehabilitation and social reintegration of destitute street children, juvenile offenders and women and minor children in prisons. All TDSF programmes are based on human rights protection of marginalized groups such as drug users, street children, juvenile offenders, women and minors in prisons. The organisation enables these vulnerable groups to explore the underlying factors of their drug misuse, marginalisation and imprisonment and come to terms with past traumatic experiences. Coordinate the efforts and prevention sphere of drug addiction and HIV/AIDS. The NGOs facilitate training in life and social skills and reintegration into the community and society
DSF has started Drug Free Clubs in Nigeria Secondary Schools. It has erected billboards pan Nigeria and rally/road walk.
