Short description:
The Ghana Anti-Corruption Coalition (GACC) is a cross sectoral grouping of private, public and civil society organizations with the sole aim of building a national effort to confront the problem of corruption and devising effective control measures through the concerted efforts of its membership and in collaboration with other stakeholders. Activities include:
• Advocacy for the adoption of the UNCAC and AU Convention by Parliament
• Collaboration with CHRAJ and AG on the review process of the implementation of the UNCAC Convention in Ghana
• Monitoring the implementation of anti-corruption laws in Ghana
• Strengthening of national bodies anti-corruption in West Africa (ECOWAS and Mauritania)
• Implementation of the United Nations Convention against Corruption in Dakar, Senegal 21-23 June 2010
• Ensuring that UNCAC is mainstreamed into the National Anti-Corruption Action Plan.
• Made inputs into APRM yearly reports
