Short description:
The goal of the organisation is to provide means by which government, individuals and groups may join in united effort to ensure the future growth and development of humanity.


The organization has been at the fore-front of working on issues of human trafficking in Nigeria since 2004. The organization has embarked on series of projects in collaboration with international and local partners. Notable among which are:
1) In 2005, in collaboration with Vital Voices Global Partnership Fund, Washington DC, ACAHD provided free legal services to 20 Nigerian who were victims of human trafficking in Edo state and got judgment that convicted 2 traffickers to 12 years imprisonment;
2) In 2008-2009, in collaboration with Vital Voices Global Partnership Fund, the organization embarked on advocacy and sensitization project in Ondo state and drafted Ondo State Violence against Women Law (OVAWL) which has passed through legislative proceedings and awaiting assent by the Governor;
3) In collaboration with EU Fund in Nigeria, ACAHD provided vocational job trainings in computer and hairdressing to 35 youths and provided them with tools for the trade;
4) In collaboration with the United States Institutes of Peace (USIP), the organisation provided alternative dispute resolution and human rights training to 125 traditional and women leaders in Niger Delta and established 6 peace teams in the states of Ondo, Bayelsa, Edo, Oyo, Delta, Ekiti, Rivers and Cross River states of Nigeria.
