Short description:
Mission: To develop process in the community whereby most vulnerable are accessing basic rights, needs, care, support and protection.
Achievements:
•CADA has played a big role to establish community groups based on social accountability and monitoring and create capacity building to them so as to strengthen it in making follow up of strong overseer of the public resources
•It also create awareness to the community about the effects of corruption through establishment of community Anti corruption advocacy groups
•CADA has managed to support orphans and MVCs on access to education since 2006 up to date and made advocacy on human rights especially women and child basic rights since 2003 up to 2009.
•In other hand, It managed to conduct seminars on drug abuse and anti corruption campaign to the community for the aim of reducing crimes and strengthen the social services
•Community awareness on fighting against HIV/AIDS new infections in Mwanza City at Kirumba and Kitangiri wards by November 2007/2008
•Conducted social Accountability & monitoring (SAM) and Public expenditures tracking survey (PETS) in Mwanza City Council, Mwaloni International Market and Nyamikoma ward, Magu District, Mwanza Region for capital grants and public resources. Five schools of Nyamikoma ward were consulted collaboratively with Local Authorities (Ward and District level)
•From 2005 to 2009, CADA has attended several trainings on Social Accountability Monitoring (SAM), policy analysis and strategy on MKUKUTA, Budget analysis, capacity building on how MKUKUTA related with CSOs overall planning which was conducted by Policy Forum, Mwanza policy Initiative (MPI) partnership with HAKI ELIMU in Dar es salaam.
•CADA also managed to organize youth and women to form women economic groups and youth clubs by giving them entrepreneurship, management and marketing skills for their initiative income generating activities so as to make them self reliant
• Currently, CADA is implementing capacity building to community basing on Child policy analysis and child laws related to child basic rights in Nyamagana and Ilemela District in Mwanza Region.
