||Damnok Toek Poipet was set up to assist vulnerable children and their families in 1999. Damnok Toek Poipet assists over 400 children on a daily basis .
The main goals of Damnok Toek are the following:
- Prevention: of child abuse, substance abuse and trafficking (internal and across the border trafficking/unsafe migration).
-Rehabilitation: of under age substance abusers and traumatized children.
-Integration: of neglected children and street children through informal education (non formal education and vocational training) centre and vocational training and formal education (public school).
-Reintegration: of trafficked and traumatized children into their villages and communities and, if possible, family of origin.
The NGO aims to work with the most vulnerable and marginalized children in Cambodia. With the support of communities, governmental and civil society representatives, Damnok Toek Poipet identifies and implements responses to enhance the access to a better future for the children the most in need.
