Short description:
The mission of CITAD is “Using ICTs to empower citizens for a just and knowledge based society that is anchored on sustainable and balanced development”. The organization operates across Nigeria with offices in four states. Its structure consists of the General Assembly where every member belongs, the Governing Board, which is elected and the Directorate which is composed of management staff of the organization. It has five thematic units. Membership cuts across both young and old, male and females and from all parts of the country. Some of its achievements include:
1)Trained many civil society groups on anti-corruption campaign
2) Capacity building to CSOs in budget tracking and procurement monitoring
3) Trained over 2000 youth on entrepreneurship
4) Assisted over 500 to set up small scale businesses
5) Been running a successful and popular 3-year interactive radio programme on budget literary in Kano
