||The organization is active since 1998 and carries out long term and short term programs and projects. The mission of the “Clean World” Social Union is to work toward the elimination of trafficking in persons, especially women and children trafficked for the purpose of sexual exploitation.
To achieve its goals, the organization aims at educating the general public, both in the Azerbaijan and abroad, on the regional, national, and international scope of trafficking, forced labor, and in particular sexual exploitation. Additionally, the NGO conducts research pertaining specifically to the trafficking of women and children including documenting specific cases, contributing causes, regional public policy, and the psycho social implications of trafficking. It also advocates for the provision of mental health services and other psycho-social reintegration support for victims of trafficking in order to render practical help to women from all over Azerbaijan. The organization is the only one which provides a shelter for the human trafficking victims and assistance for their future rehabilitation and reintegration in the society. In the past two years the organization has sheltered about 225 human trafficking victims. Furthermore, their lawyers have been providing comprehensive legal and other aid to the victims of human trafficking at the courts and have managed to get compensations for the victims.
