||Divert was formed in 1999 in response to the death of a young man who died after consuming a volatile substance in Derry city, Northern Ireland. There are six staff attached to the project.
Divert aims to provide alcohol and drug education, prevention and early intervention services throughout the Northern Sector of the Western Board which covers Derry city, Strabane, Limavady and all surrounding rural areas within the west of Northern Ireland. Our mission is to “Educate children, young people and their caregivers of the dangers involved in substance use and to support the children of substance using parents”.
