Short description:
The organization is seeking to purposefully create and manage opportunities for a connection and communication across sectoral and geographical boundaries to promote social and sustainable integrated development by enhancing the capacity to network.
Main activities:
The priority areas are Agriculture for Development (A4D), Information Communication for Development (ICT4D), Research for Development (R4D), and Community Development.
The areas of special interest to the organization are (i) Education (ii) Health (iii) Climate Change (iv) Arts (Youth and Culture), (v) Cultural Diversity (Exchange Programmes), (vi) Child Survival and Development, (vii) Water and Sanitation (viii) Small and Medium Scale Enterprises (ix) Rural Infrastructure Development, (x) Women in Development and (xi) Food security
Main achievements:
The NGO has been able to set up online presence for over 20 NGOs in Ghana. They initiated and organized the African Summit – www.dev4africa.org. Furthermore, they rendered consulting and coordinating services for and to Japan's international Research Centre for Agricultural Sciences with respect to their collaborative projects along with the Ministry of Food and Agriculture and Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Ghana. The Elizka Relief Foundation also established National Youth Clubs on Drugs and Crime and an online sustainable development network: Africa Network on Sustainable Development. They also created a Environmental Network and a Educational Resource Centre.
