|| Founded in 1869, incorporated by decree as a “public utility institution”, the Society of comparative legislation gathers academics, judges, lawyers, public notaries, and practitioners from France and abroad. It organises international meetings in France and abroad on contemporary topics. It publishes the “Revue internationale de droit comparé” (quarterly) as well as a series of separate books on comparative law.
Member of a C.N.R.S. research team on comparative law, it has consultative status with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations, the International Labour Office and the Council of Europe. It possesses a large network of correspondents institutional and private in France and abroad
