 INTER-AGENCY COOPERATION

UNGASS implementation matrix
The Secretary-General tasked UNODC, through a decision by his Executive Committee in April 2017, to lead the coordination with relevant UN entities in assisting Member States with the implementation of the recommendations contained in the UNGASS outcome document. Through a network of focal points, including from OHCHR, UNAIDS, UNESCO, UNDP, UN Women, WHO, DPKO, DESA, DPA and the Executive Office of the Secretary-General, UNODC is providing regular updates on the work of the Commission. In addition, a number of UN system-wide activities have been initiated, including UN system-wide joint messaging, the development of a matrix of UNGASS-related action at HQs and in the field as well as a joint calendar of events .
The UNGASS implementation matrix is a working tool that is updated on a regular basis, and that aims to provide an overview of joint and individual activities by UN entities and partners, supporting Member States with the practical implementation of the UNGASS outcome document.
