Blue Heart Gala Concert
Panama City, March 17, 2016. In the framework of the Blue Heart Campaign against Human Trafficking and the 75th Anniversary of the National Symphony Orchestra of Panama, the Blue Heart Gala Concert was celebrated at the Balboa Theatre.
Participation in the Gala included that by international guest artists such as pianist Alexander Panizza, and musical director Ms. Ligia Amadio, both of whom performed Johannes Brahms' Concerto No. 2 for piano and orchestra, with the National Symphony Orchestra.
The Gala was attended by about 1,000 people from the diplomatic corps accredited in Panama, representatives of international organizations, national and international public institutions (nationals and international), Civil Society Organizations, academia and the private sector.
The event was held under the auspices of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), the Ministry of Public Security through the National Commission against Trafficking, FDC Sales & Marketing, INAC, the National Symphony Orchestra and its director Maestro Jorge Ledezma Bradley, Raumak, and the Hotel Le Meridien.
Blue Heart Campaign is a global movement to raise awareness of the crime of human trafficking and its impact on society, through art, culture and sport, and the creation of spaces for discussion and reflection on the role that the various actors in society play in preventing crime of human trafficking.
