Training on the right to exercise legal capacity of persons with disabilities to officials of the Judicial Branch of Panama

Panama, August 25, 2020. The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime for Central America and the Caribbean, through the project Consolidation of the Criminal Procedure Reform in Panama, will offer, from August 24 to September 19, a course on the right to exercise the legal capacity of the disabled addressed to officials of the Judicial Branch.
Thirty-one judges, magistrates, social workers, public defenders, victims' advocates and justice assistants will participate in this training.
Some of the topics discussed are: Overview of the human rights approach, the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and supported decision-making.
