Workshop Strengthening Capacity to Prevent the Internet Crimes Against Children
United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime organized a Workshop on Cybercrime Prevention and Internet Crimes Against Children in Guatemala City, within the project "Strengthening Capacity to Prevent the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) in Central America".
The workshop was led by Sara Susana Donis, as part of cybercrime management and prevention activities under her responsibility. The following subjects were addressed: Children and the Internet, Social Networks, Information and Communication Technology, New Technical Figures: Grooming, Sexting, Sextortion, Malware, Pishing, Law against Sexual Violence, Exploitation and Human Trafficking.
It was supported by the agent Diego Jiménez, of the Cybercrime Unit of the National Civil Police, he addressed the subjects of the Unit work and the necessary information to effectively track a complaint of cybercrime.
It was attended by ten (10) officials of the Crime Prevention Sub-Directorate of the National Civil Police, who promote actions that contribute to promote values and improve the attitude of children and adolescents in educational centers nationwide.
the workshop was held thanks to the Canadian Government and its generous financial support for the project within the Anti-Crime Capacity Building Program (ACCBP).
