Conference about Institutional Integrity

Panama, April 29, 2019. The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC ROPAN) and the Administration Authority of Panama offered a conference called Institutional Integrity, addressed to officials of various governmental bodies.

This conference was given by Stacy de la Torre, Regional Anti-corruption Adviser of UNODC ROPAN, who spoke about the need to apply a model of integrity in the development, modernization and improvement of procedures within the administration, directly affecting the public servant and in the exercise of his functions.
In the performance of her duties, De la Torre has spent more than a decade in Central America and Mexico as an associate of the United States Department of Justice working on international investigations, extraditions and mutual legal assistance.
Her main achievements in the field of anticorruption include her participation in the investigation of the United States and Mexico on Odebrecht's international corruption case.
