Conference entitled "Corruption Dynamics within States" in El Salvador
El Salvador, March 10, 2020. The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime for Central America and the Caribbean (UNODC ROPAN) delivered remarks on "Corruption Dynamics within States" addressed to chief inspectors during the Sixth Course for Promotion to Deputy Commissioner at the National Academy of Public Security in the city of Santa Tecla, La Libertad, El Salvador.
This event was held at the request of the Secretariat of Professional Responsibility of the National Civil Police as part of institutional strengthening to improve police control and supervision.
The objective of the conference was to expose the dynamics of corruption in the States and the following topics were addressed: An approach to the concept of corruption; actors and dynamics of corruption and effects of corruption in the external and internal spheres and conclusions.
The master lecture was given by UNODC-El Salvador expert Juan Ricardo Gómez Hecht and 30 chief inspectors of the National Civil Police participated in the Course for Promotion to Deputy Commissioners at the National Public Security Academy.
