Delivery of UNODC publications to the Public Defender of Panama

Panama, April 28, 2021. The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime for Central America and the Caribbean (UNODC ROPAN), through the Project to Consolidate the Criminal Procedure Reform in Panama, delivered 372 ecological bags to the Public Defense.

These bags contain the following publications: United Nations Convention Against Corruption; United Nations Convention Against Transnational Organized Crime and its protocols; United Nations Convention Against Illicit Traffic in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances; United Nations Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women and the Manual of Criminal Law, General Part: Fundamentals of Criminal Law and Theory of Crime.

The documents delivered will serve as support material for the work carried out by the 244 Public Defenders, 120 assistant public defenders and 8 district public defenders in the Accusatory Criminal System.
