Donation of hygiene products for prisoners during the Covid-19 pandemic

Panama, April 8, 2020. One of the main health recommendations to avoid infection during the Covid-19 crisis is proper handwashing and physical distancing.

Considering the high population density in the region's prisons and that in most countries prison visits have been reduced due to mobility restrictions, the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC ROPAN) donated hygiene products to be distributed to prisoners in El Salvador and Panama.
