Coaching in Establishment and Configuration of Digital Forensic Laboratory in El Salvador

El Salvador, 25 March 2021. The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime for Central America and the Caribbean (UNODC ROPAN), through the Global Programme on Cybercrime, delivered a series of mentoring sessions addressed to digital forensic analysts of the Cybercrime Unit of the National Civil Police of El Salvador. The sessions took place in March 2021.

 The objective of this 10-hour series of sessions was to guide the digital forensic analysts in the process of setting up the digital forensic laboratory, according to internationally recognized standards and best practices. 

 Additionally, the leadership of the Cybercrime Unit remarked the importance of continue with this line of action, especially in the context to training the recently recruited human talent for the digital forensic laboratory.

 These series of trainings have been possible due to the funding from the United Kingdom Government to the UNODC Global Programme on Cybercrime.
