Prison staff receives training on adversarial criminal justice system

Under the Project PANZ59 "Consolidating prison reform improvements in Panama", with the support of the US Embassy in Panama, UNODC and the Prison Training Academy organized a training workshop on the adversarial criminal justice system for prison staff of the penitentiary center of Changuinola in Bocas del Toro Province.

The workshop, held between March 1 ^st and 3 ^rd, was provided by facilitators from the Ministry of Government and the Institute of Legal Medicine and Forensic Sciences.

This training has been of critical importance due to the recent implementation of the new criminal justice system in the Third Judicial District and its significant impact on prison work.
