Strengthening Capacities for Strategic Criminal Prosecution in Guatemala

Guatemala, March 30, 2020. A three-month online course on the analysis of the Criminal Phenomenon for Strategic Prosecution was delivered by UNODC to approximately 190 analysts from the Criminal Analysis Directorate of the Public Ministry of Guatemala.
This training is offered through the website of the International School of Criminology and Criminalistics (https://www.eicyc.es/) and includes topics such as transnational organized crime, trafficking in persons, money laundering, wildlife trafficking, crimes against life, extortion, drug trafficking, smuggling and cybercrime.
Since 20017 UNODC has supported Strategic Criminal Prosecution in Guatemala through training, Memorandum of Understanding and a consolidated Office of Witness Protection.
