Support to the Judicial Branch in Panama in the fight against Covid-19
Panama, August 24, 2020. Considering the need for a process of education, training and awareness of biosecurity measures in the Judicial Branch, the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime for Central America and the Caribbean (UNODC ROPAN), through the project Consolidation of the criminal procedure reform in Panama, supported this institution with the appointment of an interdisciplinary team.
This team is led by a doctor specialized in occupational health and safety, an industrial engineer with a specialization in public health and an emphasis on occupational health, and four other professionals from the health sector, who will carry out analysis, follow-up and recommendations for the prevention of COVID-19.
The technical team will carry out its work in person in the four Judicial Districts of the country, in coordination with the Covid-19 Committees of the Judicial Branch.
