"Trafficking in Persons: Modern Slavery", an event held in the Caribbean

Panama, December 3, 2020. "What is human trafficking? What is slavery? Can the terms slavery and human trafficking be used interchangeably? If not, what is the difference? Is there a global consensus on the definition of slavery and human trafficking? These were some of the questions that formed part of the discussion and analysis held on December 2, National Day of Observance for the Abolition of Slavery.

CARICOM IMPACS convened this event called "Hidden Truth: Perception and realities of modern slavery (human trafficking) in the Caribbean", in which experts from the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC ROPAN) participated.
