Training for digital forensic analysts in Costa Rica
Costa Rica, June 16, 2020. Since April, the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime for Central America and the Caribbean (UNODC ROPAN) has been developing a series of training for digital forensic analysts of the Judicial Investigation Agency of Costa Rica.
The objective of this training is to provide skills to identify and combat emerging trends and threats in the area of digital forensic analysis through specialized tools and techniques.
The training has been developed in two parts, the first focused on malware analysis and the second on mobile device analysis.
As a result of this training, Costa Rica's digital forensic analysts will be able to more efficiently process digital evidence for more effective investigations and fair court rulings.
This training has been made possible thanks to funding from the Canadian and Norwegian governments to the UNODC Global Programme on Cybercrime.
