Training for trainers on Ethics, Integrity and Anti-corruption in Honduras
Tegucigalpa, April 26, 2021. The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime for Central America and the Caribbean (UNODC ROPAN), through the Education for Justice Initiative, delivered a training for trainers on Ethics, Integrity and Anti-corruption, addressed to 150 participants.
This training is carried out in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Education, the Autonomous University of Honduras and the Pedagogical University of Honduras and covers the following topics: ethics and universal values; ethical leadership; ethics and society; public integrity and ethics; corruption and education; corruption, peace and security and international frameworks for the fight against corruption.
The objectives of this workshop, which runs from April 12 to May 12, is for participants to understand what ethics and integrity are and what they are for; what corruption is, its causes and the harm it causes to society; and to teach university students to develop the skills to behave according to the canons of ethics and integrity for the construction of a just, inclusive and peaceful society, with less risk of violence and corruption.
Education for Justice Initiative is part of the Doha Declaration and aims to empower students to create just societies.
