Training in Leading Investigations and Prosecuting Cybercrime in Honduras
Honduras, 14 August 2020. The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime for Central America and the Caribbean (UNODC ROPAN) through the Global Programme on Cybercrime delivered a training for Honduras prosecutors and investigators.
The objective of this training was to develop prosecutors and investigators’ skills to effectively lead and implement criminal investigations and to prosecute cases that involve the use of digital technologies.
Different topics such as cybercrime law, the Internet of Things, cryptocurrency, and digital forensics’ concepts were developed.
The training had the participation of prosecutors and investigators from different regions of Honduras, particularly the specialized prosecution unit on cybersecurity and offenses against property and the police cybercrime unit.
This training was organized with Honduras Prosecutor’s School and the National Police and has been made possible thanks to the funding from the Canadian and Norwegian governments.
