Training in New Technologies in Digital Forensics in El Salvador

El Salvador, 15 March 2021. The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime for Central America and the Caribbean (UNODC ROPAN), through the Global Programme on Cybercrime, delivered a training on new tools in digital forensics addressed to El Salvador National Civil Police criminal analysts and digital forensic analysts. The training was eight-hour long and took place from 10 to 12 March 2021.

The Cybercrime Unit, Digital Forensic Laboratory, and Criminal Analysis Unit participated in this training. The objective of this training was to prepare specialized police personnel to effectively use the latest technological solutions in the country for the identification, acquisition, and analysis of digital evidence.  

Participants had to opportunity to apply their new skills in practical activities under the guidance of international experts who conducted this training.
