Training in the Legal Perspective of Online Crime against Children in Honduras
Honduras, 7 June 2021. The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime for Central America and the Caribbean (UNODC ROPAN), through the Global Programme on Cybercrime, delivered a training in countering online crime against children, addressed to prosecutors and investigators. The training took place from 18 May to 2 June.
The objectives of this twenty four-hour training was to raise awareness among justice operators about the scope and scale of online crime against children; to describe the tools and techniques investigators apply; to explain the legal framework applicable to prosecute and adjudicate online crime against children in Honduras; to describe international cooperation mechanisms to obtain digital evidence; and to explain related concepts such as information and communications technologies, the darknet, and cryptocurrencies.
This training has been made possible thanks to the funding from the British government to the UNODC Global Programme on Cybercrime.
