UNODC Participates in Television Interview in Safer Internet Day Commemoration
In the context of Safer Internet Day commemoration, the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) Global Programme on Cybercrime, participated on a T.V. interview, in the program "Frecuencia 12 25" (
Frequency 12 25), which is produced and broadcasted by El Salvador Chanel 10, which is national coverage, as well as in cyberspace.
In the T.V. program, UNODC was represented by Mr. Carlos Rosa, Project Associate in El Salvador, UNODC Global Programme on Cybercrime, and Ms. Fátima Payés, from UNODC-Programme Office for El Salvador. Furthermore, Mr. Wilder Díaz, founder of the Online Youth Protector initiative, and Specialist involved in the creation of Control App, participated in the interview.
The objective of the interview was to inform the Salvadoran population about the most common risks found on the internet, to provide recommendations on effective preventive measures when using the Internet, and to interact with the audience in order to answer questions on this topic. The T.V. audience had the opportunity to send their questions through social media.
