UNODC supports the Public Ministry of Panama in the delivery of an Anti-Corruption Workshop for the Legal Department of the National Aeronaval Service (SENAN)

On April 12, 2018, the Regional Anticorruption Academy for Central America and the Caribbean (ARAC) and the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) facilitated the session "Corruption: What is it and how does it affect the State?", in Panama City, Panama.

The course was conducted in collaboration with the Public Ministry of Panama, within the framework of the project "CrimJust: Strengthening Criminal Investigation and Cooperation of Criminal Justice in the Cocaine Route" financed by the European Union.

The activity focused on crimes against the Public Administration with emphasis on embezzlement and other crimes related to drugs and money laundering, and was directed to the team of lawyers of the National Aeronaval Service (SENAN).

The conference was delivered by Ms. Cristina Ritter, Legal Expert of UNODC and it was attended by thirteen (13) officials of SENAN and the Public Ministry.
