UNODC supports the signing of an International Cooperation Agreement between the Supreme Court of Justice of the Republic of El Salvador and the Ombudsman's of Bogotá D.C (Colombia) 

Last October a specialized workshop on Disciplinary Law was developed for the control units of the Supreme Court of Justice. In this same context, on October 26, the signing of a Framework Agreement on Technical Cooperation was signed between the Supreme Court of Justice of the Republic of El Salvador and the Ombudsman's de Bogotá D.C.

The objective of this initiative is to contribute to the institutional strengthening and management in the fight against corruption in El Salvador, through the theoretical and practical training of Comptroller Units of the Supreme Court of Justice to translate into more efficient legal technical operators.

In order to carry out the training, Mrs. Carmen Teresa Castaneda Aldana and Mrs. Blanca Inés Rodríguez Granados, Officers of the Ombudsman's office in Bogotá, who with their vast experience and as pioneers in disciplinary law, developed topics of interest to the legal staff of the CSJ.

The purpose of the agreement is to join forces and develop actions within the scope of the powers and scope of the parties, to contribute to the strengthening of the fight against corruption and collaboration and technical coordination between the Supreme Court of Justice and the ombudsman's of Bogotá D.C.

Through the signed instrument, activities related to the justice administration service will be developed, with the purpose of contributing to the fulfillment of the institutional objectives of the parties within the scope of their respective competences.
