UNODC transfers rugged mobile computers to SENAN
Panama, August 13, 2019. Within the framework of the project to strengthen the capacities of Panama's security forces in the fight against transnational organized crime and drug trafficking, which is being implemented jointly with the Ministry of Public Security of Panama, the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC ROPAN) transferred three rugged laptop computers to the Panama Naval Air Service (SENAN).
These laptops are rugged for use in interdiction operations against organized crime, drug trafficking and terrorism.
The objective of this project is to strengthen the capacities of the public security agencies of the Republic of Panama to respond to the challenges posed by transnational organized crime and drug trafficking, in order to meet these challenges, as well as the promotion and formalization of international cooperation mechanisms in the area of information exchange and joint operations.
