Webinar "Let's talk about sexting" in Guatemala

Guatemala, August 20, 2020. In coordination with the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime for Central America and the Caribbean (UNODC ROPAN) participated in the webinar "Let's talk about sexting", an event in which more than 260 young people participated.

The conceptual definition of this practice, its context during the increase of Internet use in this era and its consequences were some of the topics discussed.

The connected young people listened to the presentations of the experts who at the end offered their recommendations: It is necessary to know well with whom one interacts through social networks; trust should not be broken; it is a right to have a sexuality free of violence; one should not criminalize or judge; and one should not share with other people's sexual content.
