Webinar on cybercrime and computer forensics in Guatemala
Guatemala, July 2, 2020. In the framework of the Cybercrime Programme 2020, the project "Strengthening capacity to prevent and combat cybercrime" managed through the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime for Central America and the Caribbean (UNODC ROPAN), delivered two webinars on cybercrime and computer forensics on 24 June and 1 July.
Targeted at eight officials of the National Civil Police, four of the Subdirectorate General of Anti-Narcotics Information Analysis and 16 of the Public Prosecutor's Office's forensic team, the purpose of this training was to strengthen the capacities of the computer forensic teams of the security and justice sector institutions and to increase their skills in the use of tools for analyzing digital devices.
Some of the topics covered in the webinars were: Security interactions and description and functionalities of CHIP OFF, JTAG and ISP tools for iOS and Android systems.
