Do Drugs Control your Life? Your Life. Your Community. NO PLACE FOR DRUGS '. The competition involved 76 schools in Bangkok and suburb and it resulted in 468 drawings submitted.
The Regional Centre and ONCB co-organized the awarding ceremony on Friday 26 June at IMPACT Convention Centre as part of the Festival called International Day against Drugs.
On the same day, Mr. Gary Lewis presented the 2009 World Drug Report to the press and the partners. The press conference was hosted at the Doi Tung coffee shop in Bangkok. Doi Tung is a successful project supporting farmers from the Golden Triangle that agreed to switch their crop cultivation from opium poppy to coffee beans. The revenues from the sale of the Doi Tung coffee contribute to the creation of alternative livelihood for former opium farmers.
